The collection represented on this site and in the "American Fish Decoys" books
by Steven Michaan formed the basis for the first-ever major museum show on fish decoys,
"Beneath the Ice: The Art of the Spearfishing Decoy"
which opened at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York
and toured eight other museums during its two year run.
